One Of Us Is Sleeping

We won't know what it's like to feel well rested for awhile, but baby D will. And luckily, Lexi has been better at staying in her room and sleeping past 8AM. Baby D still likes to eat though and I haven't gotten past the 2 hour mark at night yet. I guess he can be loud when he sleeps too (just like Lexi); I can sleep through the non-cries, but Mr Smith moved to the couch. I really wish we had a guest bed or at least a longer couch.

I wanted to do a basic comparison between Dallin & Lexi (which I'll have to add to once I remember things). Like…

Differences: w/Lexi, I had swollen feet/ankles, cried a lot over nursing, clogged tear duct, cradle cap

w/Dallin, I had indigestion, mastitis infections, choking until blue, failed glucose testing, light eyelashes & little hair on top

Similarities: gained same amount of weight, similar birth weight, loud sleepers, shallow breathers, came out nursing every 1-2 hours, great in the car seat & body carrier as well as bath time

Mr Smith went back to work full-time and Gammi came to play! And she makes dinner and will go shopping too. Plus she has spoiled Lexi with some much needed attention. It's a wonderful break to try and pick my feet up a little more. The bleeding keeps coming back and that's sort of bugging me. However, I'm back in my jeans! And that's a wonderful feeling.

There is a Plan for That

Perhaps I'm ready to begin again, again. I struggle to add more words to the universe & I feel the same with photos. I let two of my passions die, both rather abruptly. My posts used to write themselves, I felt so guided in what God needed me to say. But this past year, my words have been removed. I moved from this blog over to Instagram as a better place to connect, but then everything became a distraction, and even the good distractions soon became too overwhelming. I can't possibly do every craft or recipe I've saved at this point. Unfortunately, I became painfully aware of my addictive attachment to my algorithm & lost much of my peace & productivity because of it. We're patiently waiting

Picture Mr Smith putting together the pack-n-play. He was so cute. Mostly when he had to read the directions. Do we have a child? Don't ask such silly questions. Hopefully it won't collect too much dust in 5.5 months. We're ready now . . . (but not really) It has a changing thing and a removable bassinet that vibrates. I'm okay with not needing a changing table. It will probably mean we won't get a crib for awhile too. Next we need to hear from our baby/exercise friends a good car seat & jogging stroller (maybe ones that work together)... Any favorites? Then a blanket . . . Then a breast pump . . . Then a diaper bag. . . Then lots of diapers, toys & cute clothes. And even a mobile. Then they get older and there's even more things. Mr Smith is just so thrilled.
