We finally made it to the official Looper Rd 4th of July. And although we miss Nana & Papa terribly, it's Lexi's turn to go to grandma's house.

I am just grateful to be a citizen of this great nation, a nation promised to those who remain faithful, a promised nation that honors freedom & promotes democracy. I am grateful for this country where I have a voice and the power to choose. There is so much potential here. And I know that's a blessing.
However, I fear for our nation when we forget the very foundation which allowed us to thrive.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness; that, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."
No doubt about it, God blessed America. But we The People decide its fate.
Alexis LOVED all the dogs. And I mean loved. She kept laughing when the dog would touch the stick in her hand. She tried kissing them. She pet them softly and I'm really surprised she didn't try to hop on the great dane. She got down and dirty that night. Strawberries and dog saliva marking her face.
