We are not pregnant.
...onto less exciting BUT {I want to jump up and down and run there already} - news:
we are moving out of the DC metro area.
I am so excited for SO many reasons.
Granted, DC has been good to me.
It got me a job that allows me to be independent
It brought me the love of my life
and a few other people who have changed me along the way.
And let's just say, DC is beautiful,
has one awesome temple, great history & there is always something to do
(whether or not you can get to it is debatable)
BUT we want out.
lots of traffic & parking & commuting reasons
lots of expensive housing & food reasons
and it goes on
Living as a commuter in a big city world
is-just-not-my-thang
We are in the crazy, suicidal part of riding the rest of our lease and finding a new place in a city we've never been. Oh, I forgot to mention Winston-Salem, NC. Eric accepted an administrative fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital (awhile back) and is excited to move on to his career after graduating end of May. That's right folks END OF MAY. I am so excited for him and we are both excited just to get up and move on. Amen. What will I do? Get pregnant. jk - but that's what you were thinking. Who the heck knows. Hopefully not go depressed with that feeling you get when you don't feel like you're accomplishing anything. I mean, like where I've been the last 6 months. Seriously, I'm screaming inside some days. We are doubling our space for half the price. Get real Virginia, we're turning over our license plates ASAP!
The end.
Hooray!!! So happy for you guys. Tons of things going on with graduation AND moving somewhere new. Wish we could be there to help you move. Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting, congra ts you two! Yes, I feel you, houston may not be as bad as d.c..... but is certainly miss provo rent, no commute, and being around family. So excited you are getting out, though there are some nice perks to city life. Btw, enjoy your time while you have it, life never stops when you have a child! Aka "sit while you can, you will never sit again"-cosby show
ReplyDeleteHaha thank you Naomi and Mary! Mary, love the quote =)
ReplyDeleteWell, hello there neighbor!!!!! Did you know that Winston Salem is about 1 1/2 hours away from Raleigh? And did you know that we LIVE in Raleigh? Did you also know that we LOVE North Carolina? It's true. I grew up in Virginia, and I love it there too, but North Carolina is growing on me every day. You won't regret this move. Let me know once you get settled and we will get together sometime. :)
ReplyDeleteAbby I am so excited!!! I can steal your baby!! ;)
